Welcome to the 2015 A to Z Blogging Challenge! Each day for the month of April I will be posting alphabetically from A to Z and my theme is Wyoming.
Wyoming's own Craig Johnson is the best-selling author of the Longmire novels, set in fictional Absaroka County, Wyoming. Walt Longmire is the Sheriff in this modern-day Western crime drama. The TV series stars Robert Taylor as Longmire and Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry Standing Bear. Henry owns the local saloon.
"It's another beautiful day at the Red Pony Saloon and continual soiree."
Have you read or watched Longmire?
I've heard great things about this series but haven't read or watched. Not sure why, I really need to check both out.
ReplyDeleteJulie, it's a great show. It's on Netflix. I've watched a lot of TV shows in my day and this is totally unique. And uniquely Wyoming.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read or watched before, but it's been on my list for a while! Sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the A to Z Challenge!

S.L.- Highly recommended. Thanks for stopping by! Have fun with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is one of those Netflix series I keep skimming past. Didn't realize Lou Diamond Philips was on it though. I've loved him ever since La Bamba.

C.D. Yes, I'm a huge fan of Lou Diamond Philips. He is Walt Longmire's good friend and a native Cheyenne in the show.
DeleteI was always a fan of Lou Diamond Philips. Haven't seen him in much lately- good to know he has a series out there.
ReplyDeleteJaybird, I was pleased to see him cast in this show.
DeleteVisiting from A/Z. I have heard of the series; I think my husband might have watched it a time or two. I have not read any of the books, might after the A/Z challenge is over :)

Hi, Betty, thanks for stopping by! Longmire is a good show. You won't be disappointed.
DeleteI've never heard of Longmire! I added it to my Netflix list to watch when I get a chance.
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of "just going to watch the pilot and check it out" and FIVE episodes later…. ! It needs a warning: Addictive. haha
DeleteTrudy, yes totally addicting. I binge-watched it last year when we got Netflix.
DeleteI haven't seen the show nor have I read any of the books. I will try to check out both someday soon!
