J is for Journal

Welcome to the 2013 A to Z Blogging Challenge!
 Memorable Movie Props

Dances with Wolves (1990)

Kevin Costner keeps a journal to document his experience on the Frontier. Either that or he's doing a Mad Lib.

What would you write in your journal?

    1. JM: I know what you mean. I've had several blogs at one time, but now I just have this one for movies and keep a separate journal (not online). I also have a professional website.

  3. I loved this movie but I never, ever understood why John Dunbar left the journal at the fort when he moved in with the Lakota. That made no sense to me. You would think that would have been the one thing besides his horse that he took with him. When he returned for it, well, at that point is where I have to stop watching the movie b/c I just end up bawling till the end. I have many handwritten diaries/journals, dating back to 7th grade in 1977 but I haven't written in ages b/c I get writers cramp. I can type so much faster!

    1. You are right about Dunbar leaving the journal behind. However, I don't know what else would have compelled him to return to the fort (and get captured and rescued). Story-wise and for necessary drama, it worked. I've been writing in journals since I was in high school.
