The King

Cartoon by Mark Parisi - "Off the Mark"

So I was flipping through the channels last night and came across Stephen King's "It." Richard Thomas, John Ritter, Tim Reid --- oh YEAH! I'd been wondering what book to bring with me on my vacation and now I have my answer.

Isn't it ironic that clowns frighten children? What does that say about Ronald McDonald? He's the creepiest clown I know. I read  that McDonald's is doing away with the clown. It's about time.

What's your favorite clown movie?

  1. "It" was fun for sure. I worked with all three of those people you mentioned - plus Richard Masur! I almost collected the whole set!

Also - they shot a McDonald's commercial here in the 90's. I didn't work on it, but my friend did. I don't know if they had regional Ronalds that would work on stuff in different parts of the country, but I think it was something like that - as they had a guy she and I had worked with on other shows playing Mr. McDonald - and according to her he was the biggest diva she'd ever worked with - whined and made demands all day, insisted on being called Ronald while in costume; got upset because they didn't break him for lunch on time. Wow.

Favorite clown movie - Octopussy - which has 007 on the trail of a renegade Russian general who is using a circus as the front for his criminal activities - and Bond eventually dresses as a clown to infliltrate the proceedings.

  3. Craig: That is too cool. Good to know the secrets of the movie guy blogger. Keep up the good work. I will have to watch Octopussy again. It's been a while. Bond as a Clown. Yes!

Ronald McDonald a diva? Go figure. LOL
