Welcome to Skating Buffalo, my blog about movies. I want to share my passion and meet other movie fans on this amazing blog journey. So "fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night."
As fabulous as this movie is on every level, it would not be the same without John Williams' compelling score. Bravo! Dedicated to beginning cello students everywhere.
What an incredible score - the Jaws theme alone pulled the lesser later sequels up a notch all by itself! I owned this as an album, played the stuffing out of it. In addition to the first song - loved #5 on side one. Not sure what it was called, but it is the music for the daytime chase on the Orca...fantastic choice, Luana!
Craig: I'm so glad to see another fan of the Jaws score! It left a huge impact on my movie-going career. That was when I realized how very important a score is to a movie. Now I need to check out the other tracks on the score sound track -- especially Number 5!
I agree with you about the music taking this movie to a whole other level. Brilliant how Spielberg focused the theme song with the appearance of the shark. The shark IS the movie. The movie IS the shark. Cool post.
